A Home Workout Staple
I LOVE Hip Hop Abs! I have never been one to enjoy exercising, but definitely needed something to keep me active, and I was tired of donating to gyms (going maybe once in a year's time!). Hip Hop Abs was the answer for me! I actually look forward to popping in the dvd and dancing up a sweat (honestly!). Before I know it, the time has slipped away and I've completed an awesome cardio workout. Shaun T keeps me motivated and moving the entire time, he keeps me pushing myself to my limit during the duration of every workout. I have a pretty bad back and knee and am always afraid of re-injuring myself when I try new workouts---I am pleased to say any of the aches I feel after this workout are all in the right places (especially my abs and butt!)! No knee or back pain whatsoever! If I start a dvd a little more sore than usual, I'll follow "Tanya" who provides modifications for all the moves and still get in a great workout. I have accumulated a plethora of workout dvd's from yoga to tae bo, to cardio express and Jillian Michael's...but I keep coming back to Hip Hop Abs. It's really as fun as a workout can get! Enjoy!

Good cardio workout/helps with rhythm--do NOT purchase from Beachbody
I bought this set for my 12 year old daughter because she wanted to exercise at home and she loves it. She said she does feel the burn in her abs (probably because it's new to her) and doing the dance moves has helped her tremendously with her rhythm--seriously, I've been watching and after two weeks her movements are much smoother and not stiff and choppy like when she first started.

I only recommend that you do purchase the set through Amazon so you can return it easily if you have any problems with the DVD's. I purchased our set directly from BeachBody and the sound on one of the DVD's is faulty. The picture still shows fine but all of a sudden there's a lot of background noise as if the sound from another video is playing at the same time. I won't bother trying to return them because I'd have to pay shipping, whereas with Amazon I could have exchanged them easily with no added cost. That's actually the reason I changed my profile name to "I Love Amazon Prime" and the reason I make as many purchases as possible from Amazon.

Yes, I know, the product review page isn't the forum for making comments about the seller, but this really isn't a comment about the seller, still a comment about the quality of the product--being a faulty DVD in the set. Please note, I still give the product 5 stars and am in no way bashing BeachBody or pushing Amazon, just stating the facts in full, which are: 1) the product is great, and 2) suggest it be purchased through Amazon in case you need to return it for any reason.

UPDATE***When I ordered this product I was very clear in stating that I did not want to join their online program or sign up for any type of auto-shipping of their vitamin products. Exactly one month later I noticed a charge on my credit card for their vitamins, which I did not order, nor did I receive because I had moved shortly after placing my original order for the program and was no longer at that address. I immediately phoned their customer service line to have the charges reversed. The customer service representative was friendly, apologized for the inconvenience, and promised to reverse the charges within 3 days. I'm sure this has happened to many people who placed orders directly with BeachBody so again, place your order through Amazon.

I like this work out. It is energetic and will work the abs if one keeps the form . The instructor is fun and easy to follow.
I recommend this set of DVD's for anyone who has back pain with conventional down on the ground crunches. This is a great way to do ab work without stressing out the low back...but only if you keep your core tucked in and tight.
